Praying and Connecting

Dear WTUC Family,

I hope that you are having a wonderful summer! It’s been an interesting ride of sunny weather while also seeing some cooler days as well, which I am sure is welcome relief to so many.

I wanted to drop a quick update as we are now in August. First of all, the WTUC Youth Summer Camp was an amazing success! Praise be to God for a wonderful group of campers and incredible volunteers! I am particularly thankful to Ann Tang, Misae Urata, and Luyi Chen for their incredible leadership in making this year’s camp a success. All praise to God for this event, and we are looking forward to many more youth events with our leadership team, supported by our new assistant pastor, Jordan Haywood! More details and a full report from the team will be coming at a later date.

Speaking of Jordan, on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. (tomorrow), Yokohama Union Church will be having its monthly online devotional and prayer meeting! This takes place every second Tuesday of the month! If you would like to have an opportunity to connect with others in prayer, please join Pastor Jordan as he leads this session! You can connect with the link here.

On Sunday, August 23, I will be preaching at Yokohama Union Church. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m.! If you are able to make it over to Yokohama, it would be wonderful to see you! If you can’t make it over, you can also watch the service on their live broadcast here.

In the coming weeks, you will hear from Ann Tang, our new chair of the Steering Committee, and me about where we believe God is leading us for the upcoming 2026-2027 year! We are still busy making some important plans about the new church year. Please pray for our church as we seek the Lord’s direction!
