Rev. Jonathan Oh

Pastor, West Tokyo Union Church

Rev. Jonathan Oh joined West Tokyo Union Church as pastor in September 2024. He is a Presbyterian minister and missionary serving in Japan. He has lived in the Tokyo area since 2014 and has been working as a tentmaker doing television work as an on-camera meteorologist for an international broadcasting service and doing technical work as an IT engineer. After graduating in 2015 with a Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree from Columbia Biblical Seminary in South Carolina, Jonathan was ordained as a teaching elder (minister of the Word) with the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and commissioned to missionary work in Japan in 2016. He has previously served as a digital ministries pastoral assistant, chaplain, director of a leadership cohort program, and coordinator of the young adults group at TUC. He has also previously served as an associate pastor at a church in Tokyo. He has actively provided audio, visual, and technical support for various churches and conferences through the Genki Today non-profit mission organization. Jonathan is happily married to his wife and partner Rachel, who is an English teacher at a private Christian high school in Chiba Prefecture. They are proud parents of their two daughters!

Jordan Haywood

Assistant Pastor, West Tokyo Union Church

Jordan Haywood joined West Tokyo Union Church as assistant pastor in September 2026. He was born in the United States and lived most of his life in North Carolina. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School in 2021. Jordan concurrently serves as a support pastor at Yokohama Union Church and has served in various ministry roles for local churches, including serving as the former programming director and head chef at the Eno House Community Center in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Jordan is interested in everything, especially the Bible. He enjoys daily life in Yokohama with his beloved wife and daughter, and also enjoys cooking, practicing kyudo, and watching pro wrestling.
