Getting Close!

Dear WTUC Family,

I hope that you had a wonderful week! I heard that the Women’s Conference went quite well, and I was thankful to see our WTUC members joining us both in person and online for the Tokyo Union Church service this past Sunday! I’m glad to see the faithfulness of our members worshipping and serving God in different ways.

We are getting close toward the end of Lent. This Sunday will be the Fifth Sunday of Lent, and we will be gathering online via Zoom at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Jim Sack will be joining us with the message. For more details on the service, please check out out calendar event!

If you are interested, our sister congregation Tokyo Union Church will be holding a Taize service at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Our Ash Wednesday service that we had at WTUC online was in the style of Taize, and so if you are hoping to have a service that provides a calm, meditative space for worship, please visit TUC Sunday afternoon. The following Sunday will be Palm Sunday, and we will be gathering in person! Our Youth will also have a gathering that afternoon for a Sakura Picnic! For more details, please contact youth@wtuc.net!

Palm Sunday, March 29: In Person Service at Japan Lutheran Seminary
Maundy Thursday, April 2: Tokyo Union Church Service at 7:30 p.m. (Online Broadcast available)
Good Friday, April 3: Tokyo Union Church Service at 7:30 p.m. (Online Broadcast available)

Easter Sunday, April 5: In Person Service at Japan Lutheran Seminary
- 10:15 a.m.: Easter Egg Hunt
- 11:00 a.m.: Worship Service with Communion
- 12:15 p.m.: Special Fellowship Hour
