Looking to the future

Dear WTUC Family,

I hope that you had a great week. Even though we are in the rainy season, we are seeing times of drier and brighter weather. I hope that you are enjoying this, and hopefully we can stave off the heat for a bit longer.

As we are getting close to the end of our 2025-2026 WTUC church year, I would like to bring up a couple of things regarding the future of WTUC in 2026-2027. First of all, this coming Sunday, we are going to have a guest speaker for our online worship service via Zoom beginning at 11:00 a.m. Jordan Haywood, who is a pastor from North Carolina and is currently living in Yokohama, will be preaching for us. We are considering how he may be able to assist us both in our preaching rotation as well as other ministry areas. I will share more about him this coming Sunday. Please come join us for our worship service! You can find more details here.

In addition, we are planning to hold a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, June 28, which will be the final Sunday of this month and Closing Sunday for WTUC this year. The Steering Committee will make a final determination regarding this meeting this coming Sunday, but I would like you to mark your calendars to participate in our time of reflection as well as looking forward to what’s ahead. I will update you in the next Letter to the Congregation, but the meeting is expected to take place after the service. Please continue to keep WTUC in your prayers as we seek to hear what the Lord has in store for us!

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday. Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Blessings
Jonathan
