Zooming on to June!

Dear WTUC Family,

I hope that you have been doing well and are taking care of your health as we go through this wild ride of hot, then stormy, then chilly weather. It’s hard to imagine that we’re in June already, but that’s what the calendar says. It’s incredible to imagine that our celebration of WTUC’s 60th Anniversary is almost coming to an end. We have had the wonderful privilege of hearing from past ministers and members this year, and I hope that you were blessed by their visits, especially in the past few weeks.

As we begin the month of June, we are coming to the end of the WTUC calendar year in just a few weeks. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday as we gather in person on the campus of Japan Lutheran College and Theological Seminary Room 105. We will begin the service at 11:00 a.m., and we will be observing the Lord’s Supper. If you are coming and regularly attend our services, we ask that you bring a snack or finger food that we are able to share with one another during our fellowship hour following the service. For more information about this upcoming Sunday, check out the calendar event here!

I would like to add one request for you to consider. As we come toward the end of the WTUC calendar year, we are also looking forward to next year. How can we best use our finances to love God and love our neighbors? How can we offer our whole selves to the Lord through our time, talent, and treasure? Are you being called to serve in leadership, such as our Steering Committee or as a liturgist during our services? I ask that you would prayerfully consider how you may be able to serve in the upcoming year. You are always welcome to ask our Steering Committee questions (sc@wtuc.net), or you are always welcome to email me (pastor@wtuc.net).

Please continue to keep the WTUC Summer Youth Camp in your prayers! We have had a few signups, but we have room for more! Please reach out to your friends who may be able to come and direct them to the web page where they can get more information!

Have a wonderful rest of the week, and I will see you on Sunday!

Blessings,
Jonathan
