What God Wants of Us

Dear WTUC Family,

I hope that you are wrapping up the first month of 2026 well. January is an interesting month because some folks find it to be the month that drags on from Christmas until February, and in the meantime, we end up breaking every New Year’s Resolution that we set at the beginning of the year. Others wonder where the time has gone after blinking. However, whether it has gone quickly or slowly for you, I pray that it was a month where you saw the Lord’s guidance and love through all those days, both the good and challenging ones.

We will be gathering this Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in person at our typical gathering location in Room 105 of the Japan Lutheran College and Theological Seminary. We are going to be reflecting upon a couple of passages asking ourselves what God wants of us. It continues as a part of our series of messages that challenges us to radically love that we have been hearing this past month. We will also be observing the Lord’s Supper during the service. For our WTUC members who regularly attend, we encourage you to bring a snack or finger food for us to share during the fellowship hour after the service. You can find more details about the service on our Calendar page.

I look forward to seeing you this coming Sunday. Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Blessings,
Jonathan
