Thankful for mommy
Dear WTUC Family,
I hope that you had a wonderful week. After the Golden Week holiday, it was time for us to head back into a more regular routine. I hope that you were able to have some time to enjoy it, whether traveling or just being out in the warmer weather.
As we approach Mother’s Day this Sunday, we want to take a moment to give thanks for our mothers. Some have passed into glory, while others are still with us. Some of us are mothers, and we want to recognize all that you do for your family. One day of the year is really not enough to show our appreciation, but we want to recognize your incredible part in the life of your children. This Sunday, we will be gathering online via Zoom at 11:00 a.m., and Rev. Dr. Tim Boyle will be preaching on the topic “Jesus and Motherhood”. It is a timely message as we observe Mother’s Day. I hope that you can join in the service. More details found here on the calendar page.
We have a couple of special services coming up. First, Youth Sunday is taking place on Sunday, May 18. If you are a younger member of our congregation and would like to be involved in leading our service, please contact Ruth Ingulsrud at youthandkids@wtuc.net right away so that she can get you squared away! We would like to take the time to give thanks for our younger brothers and sisters in Christ.
In June, we will have Pentecost Sunday, and we would like to ask those who can read in a language other than English to help out in our annual reading of Acts 2. If you are able to do so and are interested in our Pentecost Sunday reading, please contact me at pastor@wtuc.net, and we will start putting together the readers involved.
I hope that you have a wonderful weekend, and we’re looking forward to Mother’s Day on Sunday.
Blessings,
Jonathan
