Journey to the Cross

Dear WTUC Family,

I hope that you had a blessed week and that you are having a good start to your Lenten journey (should you be observing Lent). We began with an online Ash Wednesday service, and beginning this Sunday, we will be going through the next few weeks particularly reflecting on our frailty and mortality while looking to our only hope, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

This coming Sunday, we welcome back Rev. Dr. Tim Boyle, who has been preaching for us for some time and last gave us a message during the Christmas season. He will be preaching on “A Tale of Three Mountains”. We will be gathering online via Zoom beginning at 11:00 a.m. I hope that you will join us, and you can learn more about the service on our calendar event page.

As an additional resource during this Lenten season, our sister congregation Tokyo Union Church is holding an Adult Education series on “Images of Jesus” taught by Rev. Dr. David Ahearn. You can see it on their YouTube channel here. There are also Lenten Devotional reflections that you can read throughout this season.
