Offering Our Whole Selves To God
Dear WTUC Family,
I hope that you had a good week. We’ve really gotten into the rainy season, and so we’ll be needing a little more shelter from the wet weather for a little bit.
As we transition into the last three weeks of our WTUC calendar year, we are going to be turning our focus on stewardship and how we can offer our whole selves to God. Our call as followers of Christ is not one just of meditation and worship. It is also of service and action. Over the next few weeks, we will be hearing from a couple of outgoing members of the Steering Committee who have been with WTUC for many years. They will be sharing about how the Lord has been working in their lives through service and stewardship. This coming Sunday, we are going to be gathering online and hearing from Ruth Ingulsrud. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m., and you can get the details for the service here.
Next Sunday, June 22, we will be hearing from Carol Sack for our Celebration Sunday service. We will be gathering in person at 11:00 a.m. and will be observing the Lord’s Supper. After the service, we will move off-site for our huge celebration party. If you have not yet RSVP’d, please contact Betsy Terada at scchair@wtuc.net or me at pastor@wtuc.net to get the link.
We will then conclude our WTUC calendar year on Sunday, June 29 for our Dedication Sunday worship service online. On that Sunday, we are going to also take the time to pledge our time and talents for the upcoming WTUC year that starts in September. Please take some time over the next few weeks to prayerfully consider how you may serve the Lord through your financial resources as well as your time in serving the community. You can look at some of the opportunities where you may be able to serve on this page.
Our summer break is coming really soon, and I can’t believe that I have had the honor of serving as your pastor over the past year. If there is a way I can support you in prayer, please do not hesitate to contact me. You can also ask for prayer to our prayer team on this page.
Have a wonderful rest of the week!
Jonathan
